I’m a late 20s software developer working in the South West of the UK.

I write software as both a hobby and a professional role on dozens of projects, from simple applications and webservers, to giant software suites used all across the world.

It’s just fun really.

My work history

Software Developer - Admit One @ Collaborative Software Ltd
September 2018 - Present

We design and create software that is used to power cinemas and theatres all around the world. Our software generates tickets, manages bookings, powers POS kiosks and everything in-between. I write form applications, service applications, POS terminal applications and many other applications that our suite provides to customers. I have learned a lot about working in a tight-knit team, and how to create fast but safe software for a large audience, where mistakes are unacceptable and could have significant repercussions. This experience has focused a lot of skills that I’ve been unable to put into practice until starting this role and I’m very proud of the work I’ve done with Admit One.

Software Developer - Resort Marketing Ltd
February 2016 – September 2018

I acted the primary app developer at Resort Marketing for over 2 years. I designed, created and maintained the half dozen or so apps that were in production for clients during my time there. This was where I got my start working professionally in this industry and it taught me how to write and maintain good code, how to work to deadlines and to fit a brief. Resort was a great environment to grow and push my skills. By the end of my time there, I was designing and creating website backends and crucial web APIs for the apps I was creating. My role turned from a simple software developer into an almost full stack app and web developer which was a great opportunity, and I’ll always follow their work in the future.
